You may have guessed already, but things are probably going to speed up over the course of this faction questline, so you won't have to spend literal years of your life working for that citizenship.įollow Tuala outside and you'll be formerly initiated into the UC Vanguard. Otherwise, head up the elevator nearby back to the MAST Lobby, and talk to Commander Tuala.Īsk to go over your exam score, and you may be surprised to learn they consider if you spent time in the orientation hall, and if you accessed the debug tools (which he considers fair game!)ĭepending on how many tiers you beat, you'll get a different ranking, and he will note that you can earn your UC Citizenship in anywhere from 10 years if you did the bare minimum, to just 3 if you managed to complete all six of the simulation tiers. Leave the Simulation when you're ready, and you can speak to the Exam Proctor again if you like. Don't sweat being unable to beat this one unless you've already been playing for a long while. You'll need to defeat five targets of varying difficulty levels all at once, and they'll rip you to shreds fairly fast if you don't have backup. Tier 6 is essentially impossible for newcomers, as you'll need a lot of invested skills into ship combat, as well as hacking the Debug Controls to give yourself the level 60 ally and boosts. You can try springing for the extra shielding or summoning an ally to draw their fire, but it will be tough. By this point, victory will largely hinge on if you've already invested skills into Ship abilities, like targeting, or increasing weapon damage. Tier 5 is even harder, as it pits you against four targets that are all level 40 and above. Try to get behind the slower moving ship and don't allow it to turn to face you whenever possible! If you haven't used any debug tools by this point, springing for extra damage might be a good bet. Tier 4 will absolutely put you through your paces, going up against a powerful level 44 ship. However, if you truly wish to test your mettle, three more tiers await. With all three tiers complete, the exam will officially be over, and you can get out of the pilot seat to leave.

Tier 3 will also pit you against two opponents, but both will be aggressive level 38 ships. Take advantage of the asteroids by trying to keep one out of line of sight while you power down the weaker ship first, then take on the tougher ship. Tier 2 will pit you against two opponents, but thankfully one of them will be much lower level at 20, and much weaker than the other ship. Remember that lasers are good for lowering enemy shields, and then swap to your ballistic canons while alternating missile shots when locked on. Dodge around the asteroids to get a lock, and pummel it to pieces to advanced to the next tier. Once you sit down in the pilot's seat, the simulation will begin, starting with Tier 1: a single level 32 enemy ship that's a little weaker than your own supplied Vanguard ship. Taking the elevator at the end of the long exhibit, you'll arrive at the Exam Room, which is comprised of a large room with two piloting simulators that mimic the effects of a real space battle.Ĭlimb the stairs and speak to Exam Proctor Samuelson to learn more about what will be asked of you for this piloting exam: Of course, if you really can't be bothered, there's nothing stopping you from sprinting down the corridors to the Exam Room.

If you've somehow run afoul of the law recently, you can find a Bounty Self-Service Kiosk by the Viewport near the landing pads to pay off any fines. Interact with one to view the Enlistment Agreement, and cycle through the pages before clicking on the "Agree" button. The first room in the Orientation Hall holds several terminals along some kiosks. When you decide the time is right, accept Commander Tuala's offer, and he'll direct you to the nearby elevator to head to the Orientation Hall on a lower level.
